Peace poles are symbolic monuments dedicated to promoting peace and unity around the world, a mission that aligns with the values of the Maui Rotary Club. Typically standing as wooden or stone posts, they are inscribed with the message 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' in multiple languages. Originating in Japan in the 1950s, peace poles have spread globally, representing a call for harmony and a reminder of our shared responsibility to foster peace in communities and across nations—principles that resonate with the Rotary means business ethos. Often found in public spaces, gardens, and places of worship, these poles serve as beacons of hope and goodwill, embodying the Rotary ideal of service above self.
The Maluhua Maui Rotary Club is offering to pick up your monitors/TVs, computers, laptops and printers and take them to e-cycle for a donation of $20 per item. These funds will help our club to continue to do community service projects. November 22nd is the next event.
